- Once user has entered registration info, further clicks on the Register icon bring up About TypeIt4Me, showing "Registered to: User's name"
- Made the Stats icon a bit darker (was giving the impression it was inactive).
- When Add a clipping is invoked, a cmd-C is issued to copy highlighted text to clipboard, saving user a keystroke.
- Add a clipping is now a sheet off the main TypeIt4Me window, instead of a separate window (which would sometimes be obscured by the main TypeIt4Me window).
- Changed text labels in menu preferences to avoid ambiguity.
Bug Fixes
- When user chooses Open at login, the "Hide" box is now ticked in Accounts/Login items.

- Added preference for user to choose if when doing an undo (cmd-z) the typed abb should disappear altogether or be shown in hilite. This is not recommended for use in Terminal, Excel, Numbers, etc.
- The main TypeIt4Me window now opens when the application is double-clicked in Finder.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed problems in Terminal, Excel, Numbers, etc by backspacing over abbreviations instead of hiliting them (except in Safari).
- Fixed bug where all abbreviation expansion after expanding from menu would become case sensitive.
- Fixed last 3 menu items in Format menu for rich text editing.
- Fixed issue that would leak ports under specific conditions and end up slowing down the system.
- Fixed glitch when expanding a date while CAPS LOCK is on.
- Fixed glitch that prevented the exclamation mark from working as a trigger.
- Fixed bug that would prevent expansion when SpellCatcher or other Input Methods (e.g. Japanese) are active.
- Correctly expands in ALL CAPS when an abbreviation is typed while CAPS LOCK is on.

Description

TypeIt4Me 5.0 dispenses with the System Preferences pane resulting in major speed gain when calling the Edit Clippings and Preferences windows. TypeIt4Me is now a self-contained application, optionally showing its icon in the dock (user preference setting). This release is recommended for all users. Thanks all for your feedback!

- The Edit Clippings window not only opens instantaneously but can now be resized at will by the user, both vertically and horizontally.
- users can also decide to give more or less space to the abbreviations list or the clipping editor pane.
